Antique Dittmar Urbach Arts & Crafts Bluebells Czech Canisters 9 Pieces + Lids. They are made of a cream pottery and stamped with beautiful arts & crafts-style clusters of bluebells (this is German/Czech arts & crafts--that of the Wiener Werkstätte and Werkbund with the bold graphics and much use of black). These great antique canisters, dating from around 1920, were made by Dittmar Urbach in the former Czechslovakia. They make up a partial set, with one large canister for tea, six small spice canisters--allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves and pepper, and oil and vinegar bottles with stoppers. They are made of a cream pottery and stamped with beautiful arts & crafts-style clusters of bluebells (this is German/Czech arts & crafts--that of the Wiener Werkstätte and Werkbund with the bold graphics and much use of black). Most of the pieces are in good condition, but there are some condition issues: the oil bottle has some smudging on the painting and a discolored stopper; the vinegar bottle has a blotch of paint on the front and a discolored stopper (these pieces were actively used! ); the tea canister has a scrape on one upper corner and a flake off the bottom of the lid; the clove jar has a couple chips off the top rim and one off the lid; the nutmeg jar also has a chip off the upper rim; the cinnamon jar has a couple of scrapes off the top rim and the underside of the lid; the pepper jar has a small flake off the underside of the lid; the ginger jar has small flake off a front foot. This set displays very well, however, and will add a wonderful antique flair to your kitchen or arts & crafts or deco dining room. Please contact me with any questions, and good luck bidding!
