This is an early use of part perforated 3c Telegraph stamps. It seems likely that these 8 stamps were cut from the same sheet. Catalog value for R19b is $30 each and for R4c is $20. Total $260. Quincy Mining Co. is near Hancock, Michigan and was a successful copper mining company founded in 1846. They paid dividends each year to shareholders from 1868 to 1920. Today, the mine is a tourist attraction. Spencer, Vila & Co. was a banking firm located at 13 Congress St., corner of Exchange Place, in Boston. It was founded in 1856.
