Cover date April 1969, CGC Grade 0.5 with Off-White to White Pages. Yes, you read that right: The official CGC grade on this comic is a shocking, jaw-droppingly sad 0.5, making this one of the rarest CGC-graded issues of this comic in existence. That's because, as of January 2026, there are only TWO other 0.5 graded copies of this issue in the ENTIRE WORLD! What a truly magnificent collector's item! Surely destined to be a great conversation piece, when you proudly display it above your mansion's massive marble fireplace, in a place of honor at your private downtown art gallery, or behind the broken toilet in a dimly lit unfinished basement bathroom. All kidding aside (well, some kidding aside), I was stunned to find out that two other people out there in the cosmos thought it would be a great idea to pay CGC's Vintage Comic premium price to get their copies in this condition graded and slabbed. In my case, including this comic in a batch of Silver Surfers that I sent off to CGC for grading was the result of embarrassingly inattentive carelessness. This copy was already bagged and boarded, and I assumed it was in decent shape without taking it out for one last look before shipping it off. After not seeing it outside of its bag for several decades (literally), I had completely forgotten that part of its back cover was missing...and so was an interior story page! The horror...the horror... Anyhow, here are CGC's entire verbatim Grader Notes for this comic: "multiple crease cover multiple spine split spine piece out left top of back cover multiple tape interior front cover missing interior part/page/wrap page(s) 29 & 30 affects story" Okay, so it's not flawless. But then, who among us is, I ask you? Who? WHO? You'll love it! Any questions, just ask! (Note: I have MANY other CGC-graded comics listed as separate auctions on eBay right now -- including most issues of this "Silver Surfer" series, every one of which is in MUCH, MUCH better shape than this one -- so be sure to check them out!) ANOTHER GREAT COMICS AUCTION, FROM A SMOKE-FREE, PET-FREE HOME! -----Shipping Info for All CGC Auctions----- Well-protected shipping in a sturdy box with tracking and insurance to any US address will be a flat $20.00 per CGC comic or magazine, no matter how high the selling price. Combined shipping for any two or more of my CGC auctions will be a flat $25.00 for US bidders, no matter how many of them you win! Win two auctions, pay $25.00 shipping. Win 10, still pay only $25.00 shipping. What a deal! Important Note: If you do win more than one auction, do not pay the individual invoices eBay automatically sends, which will not show the combined discount. Instead, let me know, and I will send a revised, lower invoice. International shipping will be higher (probably MUCH higher), and only through eBay's Global Shipping Program. EBay sets the prices for international shipments -- I only get the same amount a US winner would pay -- so I have no control over what the international shipping price will be.
