I have been collecting comics for more than 50 years (yes, I am ancient) -- buying most of them when they were brand new, reading them once and putting them in bags. My grading scale includes Near Mint (looks like it was just bought and close to flawless), Very Fine (almost Near Mint, but just misses), Fine (too nice to be called only "Very Good," but not quite in the VF-NM category), Very Good (shows evidence of handling and has notable flaws but none are disastrously awful), Good (more flawed, still a solid book for reading but that's about it), Fair (big problems) and Poor (horrible condition, trash it after reading it). Here is what you will get in this auction: This auction is for 10 issues of the 2002 Marvel Comics "Captain America" series. Details: (Issues 7-11 make up the entire "The Extremists" story arc. All covers are by the great John Cassaday.) CAPTAIN AMERICA issue 7, February 2003, VERY FINE. Written by John Ney Rieber, art by Trevor Hairsine and Miki. CAPTAIN AMERICA issue 8, March 2003, VERY FINE. Written by Rieber and Chuck Austen, art by Hairsine and Miki. CAPTAIN AMERICA issue 9, April 2003, VERY FINE. By Rieber, Austen, Hairsine, Miki. CAPTAIN AMERICA issue 10, May 2003, VERY FINE. By Rieber, Austen (whose name is misspelled as "Austin" on the cover), with art by the great Jae Lee. CAPTAIN AMERICA issue 11, May 2003, VERY FINE. By Austen (name misspelled again as "Austin" on cover) and Jae Lee. (Issues 12-16 make up the entire "Ice" story arc by writer Chuck Austen and artist Jae Lee. All covers are by the great John Cassaday.) CAPTAIN AMERICA issue 12, June 2003, VERY FINE. CAPTAIN AMERICA issue 13, July 2003, VERY FINE. CAPTAIN AMERICA issue 14, August 2003, NEAR MINT.
