Wonderful tapestry needlepoint textile 19th century romantic scene. This textile is French and dates from the mid to late 1800's, possibly earlier, hard to say exactly. It was taken from the back of an antique sofa! ~ A work of art! A LOVELY romantic scene! CONDITION : This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition ~ This textile is in magnificent condition for it's age and use! It was taken from the back of an antique sofa! ~*~ ~ This textile is hand worked in wool yarn on canvas ~ It would be stunning framed or lovely too for an upholstery piece! ~ A work of art! ~ It would also look fabulous framed ~ The surround is brown and there are many gently faded tones ~ You can see the sides are slightly pocketed which can be flattened. A LOVELY romantic scene! ~*~ MEASUREMENTS: This textile measures about 43 inches by 19inches ~ CONDITION : This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition ~ This textile is in magnificent condition for it's age and use!~ the main body is in wonderful wonderful condition!
