Antique Roschutz Porcelain Horn Creamer Antler Shaped Handle, Germany ca. 1900. Title: Roschutz Porcelain Horn Shaped Pitcher with Antler Handle. Markings: Roschutz Logo in red with Made in Germany in black glaze: X0. The Roschutzer Porzellan - fabrik Unger & Schilde was established in the town of Roschutz in the State of Thuringia in 1811. Title: Roschutz Porcelain Horn Shaped Pitcher with Antler Handle. Dimensions: 6 ½” Tall 3 ¾” Wide including Handle. Condition: Very good, no visible chips or cracks. Wear to the gilding on the rim and handle. Markings: Roschutz Logo in red with Made in Germany in black glaze: X0. The Roschutzer Porzellan - fabrik Unger & Schilde was established in the town of Roschutz in the State of Thuringia in 1811. The mark shown on the bottom was used from 1896 - 1968. Because it shows Made in Germany, we know it was made after 1891. This particular design is a copy of a form used most famously by Royal Worcester. Google search initially credited this to Worcester. Bedecked with Japanese Chrysanthemums in the Japonesque style, popular at the time, on a body referencing a dear horn and antlers which were for some reason only known to them, a highly popular design motif. The "unusual" deer and buffalo antler furniture comes from this same era.
