This creamer abounds with an Arabic village on one side and a charming Japanese vignette of plum blossoms, birds and butterflies on the other. Virtually every piece in the service utilizes a dense hibiscus border. Don’t forget the crane in flight under the spout! Aside from being an enormous success with millions of pieces sold, it holds the distinction of being one of few patterns where the ground is dead white and the transfer glaze is a dark chocolate brown. This intense contrast is intriguing to some and off putting to others.
