This lovely wallpaper is in as found antique condition. The colors remain wonderfully strong and vibrant. The colors are just stunning ~ lively yet still refined, with that unmistakable French decorative balance. French design at its best. This beautiful antique wallpaper dates to the early 1900’s and is marked along the selvedge “Fabrication Française” with the pattern number, and attributed to Paul Gruin, a French designer known for his richly colored floral patterns during the late 19th and early 20th century. This design is absolutely full of life ~ climbing branches of roses and blossoms flow across a soft warm ground, with vibrant shades of coral red, soft pink, lavender, blue, and fresh greens. The colors are just stunning ~ lively yet still refined, with that unmistakable French decorative balance. The movement of the vines gives it such a natural elegance, almost like a painted textile brought to life on paper.
