Up for sale is a South Salem 1:500 WWII USS Tennessee Class Battleship - ID Recognition Ship. Made in WWII to teach our military forces what friend and foe looked like at sea. These ships came in (2) different scales: 1/1200 (student scale) and 1/500 (teacher scale). The teacher scale ships are rare because of their size and only a few teachers compared to students. This model is in nice condition. Hull is wood, guns and bridge is made of metal. The ships paint has chipped off in a few places but still nice. It looks like all of the guns are present but a few barrels at broken off the smaller ones. I think the cranes is missing from the back of the ship but unsure. The original board is in great condition. Great rare piece.
