The "Washington Connection": This document features the extensive handwriting and signature of Hodijah Baylies (1756–1843). Baylies was a distinguished officer in the Continental Army and served as an Aide-de-Camp to General George Washington from 1782 to 1783. He was present at the British surrender at Yorktown.
