Signed 4x6 white card by Jim Goodson,WWII Fighter Ace.He visited Europe as a student prior to the war & was on the SS Athenia when it was torpedoed on 3 Sept 1939.He was rescued by a Norwegian ship & returned to England.In 1940,he joined the RAF,133 Eagle Squadron.In 1942,he was transferred to the USAAF,& flew P-47's. In 1944,he assumed command of the 336th Ftr Squadron,where he transitioned to a P-51.In July 1944,he was shot down by AA fire during a strafing pas on a German airfield.He spent a year as a POW.He finished the war with 14 confirmed kills,along with 1 probable & 1 damaged.
