Description
Highly decorated example of a large Victorian jewelry casket raised up on 4 dolphin feet. The front has two winged griffins flanking an urn and there is much floral and scroll decoration throughout the box. The height of the box is approximately 3 3/4 inches and the width is 5 1/4 on each side. I have found no maker's mark but found a lightly hand etched initial lk in lower case script and 1885 on the bottom. It is in great shape for a 135 year old jewelry casket. Enjoy!
