Rifle - the main weapon of the shooter to defeat the enemy fire, bayonet and butt. It is the most actual remedy for the defeat of single living goals (open, masked, moving and emerging for a short time). The best results of shooting from rifles are obtained at distances up to 400 m. concentrated. The fire of the shooters is used to defeat group targets at distances up to 1000 m. Fire by decreasing aircraft and paratroopers are conducted up to 500 m. Along with the rifle arr. 1891/1930 in service of shooters consisted: carbine arr. 1938 and a carbine arr. 1944 carbine arr. 1938 in the device, it is no different from the rifle. 1891/1930, but has a shorter barrel and lower weight. In addition, the carbine has no bayonet. Carbine arr. 1944 differs from the carbine of the arr. 1938 only by the presence an integral-sutured bayonet. Карабин обр. 1944 г. отличается от карабина обр. 1938 г. только наличием неотъемно-откидного штыка. Крепление штыка на карабине допускает два положения: боевое - штык откинут в переднее положение и готов к действию в рукопашном бою, и походное - штык сложен назад и лезвие его прилегает к цевью ложи с правой стороны.
