Description

A Bank of England large size pound note £1 N39K 890536 bearing the Chief Cashier Leslie O'Brien's name. He was the chief cashier between 1955 and 1962. At the time of issue, the pound note would have represented about a day's wages for a manual worker. Available here for less than an hour's national minimum wage. Have shown both sides of the note.
