Frederick Mears First Edition 1944 Original Dust Jacket. 156 pages followed by publisher's note that states that shortly after completion of the book, the publishers were informed that Lieutenant Mears had been killed in the line of duty and had been posthumously awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, which had been issued prior to his death but not received by him before he died.
