Also, 8 color photographs (remember this is 1941 and color photography was new) of desert cacti in bloom. Many ads for autos, Ford, Cadillac, GMC Trucks, Chrysler, DeSoto, Packard Clipper, Chrysler, Chevrolet, Mercury, Buick, Studebaker, Hudson, Pontiac, and probably more. Magazine is in very good condition, especially considering it's 84 years old! Pages are supple, with no major rips, tears, etc. 1945...June 16...World War II was still in progress in the Pacific. Therefore, all automobile factories were being used to build engines for the war effort. Comics and ads reflected this. This magazine has part 5 of Coroner Creek by Luke Short. Magazine is in about VG to VG+ condition. 1947...June 7...Although there are two ladies in the attic going through Grandma's old clothes, there is lots of blatant sexism in this one, selling everything from ties, to pens, to socks. This magazine contains part 2 of the Luke Short serial High Vermilion, along with four short stories and another serial containing part 1 called Extra! Extra! by Clarence Budington Kelland.
