When I first bought my virtual boy I saw on the second day glitches appearing on the games and did research and found it was not soldered. I found this repair shop and was not at all disappointed. The communication was fantastic and the seller was so friendly and helpful with this being my first time sending off a console for repair. Got it back and he even polished the console no more glitches and it overall is in a lot better condition. The gameplay is so clear and my virtual boy is fixed. 😁
I am handy with a soldering iron and have fixed my own retro consoles in the past, therefore when I discovered the left side of my Virtual Boy had gone dark due to the conductive tape issue, I opened it to see if I could fix it by hard soldering the connections. The tiny traces all near each other combined with the rarity of replacement parts gave me hard "nope" vibes and I sought out professional help. The price was reasonable and service was excellent and fast. Recommended. Thanks!
I have to admit, I was skeptical at first. I don't generally get my hopes up when dealing with glitchy displays on these old VB units. But, I've never had one repaired either. I got my displays back from this repairman, slapped them in and I was amazed!! I played on that unit for an hour and it was ROCK SOLID!! No more glitching pixels, no more random blackouts!
