LITERATURE, CINEMA AND POLITICS 1930-1945 READING BETWEEN THE FRAMES by LARA FEIGEL Published in 2010 by Edinburgh University Press First Edition SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR Signed on both the title and half title pages A scholarly but highly readable exploration of how writers and filmmakers responded to the turbulent political climate of the 1930's and World War 2. Drawing on an impressive range of sources, Feigel focuses on key figures such as W.H. She is Professor of Modern Literature and Culture at King's College London. Her other works include The Love-Charm of Bombs: Restless Lives in the Second World War (2013), The Bitter Taste of Victory: Life, Love and Art in the Ruins of the Reich (2016), Free Woman: Life, Liberation and Doris Lessing (2018), and Look! We Have Come Through!: Living with D. H. Lawrence (2022). Literature, Cinema and Politics (2010) was Feigel's first published work.
