Welcome to The Textile Trunk ~ please follow me on Instagram! I'm at @textiletrunk ~*~ This is such a darling, joyful bedcover! This lovely time-touched piece is a vintage French hand block printed cotton bedcover and dates from the 1940s. The cotton is lightweight and has a wonderful multidirectional floral pattern which contrasts wonderfully against the gray-blue and dandelion yellow stripes! The floral pattern has cheerful shades of berry red, dark rose, and light green ~ it would be fantastic as a bed cover, but it would also be fabulous for deconstructing and using to make curtains, pillows or upholstery! The ruffle is still attached but you could remove it and repurpose! The fabric is lightweight and would be ideal for decorative pillows as well, or just for design inspiration! MEASUREMENTS: This piece measures 88 inches wide by 96 inches long (including the 13 inch wide ruffle). CONDITION: This gorgeous fabric is in as-found, not freshly laundered condition. There are a few tears in the main panel of the bedcover ~ there are some areas that have lost a bit of strength (see photos for more details). As is inherent with wonderful antique textiles, it is not without signs of time and use but this makes it more special and unique!! A GORGEOUS textile! (inventory number: E 1003) ET 1013373709
