Royal Copenhagen 1976 U.S. BICENTENNIAL Commemorative Plate. The plate depicts the founding fathers and the text of the Declaration of Independence. It is a porcelain plate and is in the classic blue and white colors that Royal Copenhagen is known for. DESCRIPTION: Here is a wonderful collectible to celebrate the Declaration Of Independence with this Royal Copenhagen 1976 Bicentennial Commemorative plate. The plate depicts the founding fathers and the text of the Declaration of Independence. It is a porcelain plate and is in the classic blue and white colors that Royal Copenhagen is known for. The plate measures approximately 7 1/4” diameter. The plate was produced to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the United States. CIRCA: 1976 MARK: Mark is green underglaze “ROYAL COPENHAGE N” encircling a crown. Below that is written “DENMARK”. The dash mark under the “E” indicates date of production which would be 1975-79, per my reference. Below that is 3 blue wavy lines and the artist’s initials to the right of that. Below that is “UNITED STATES BICENTINARY” and a green squiggly mark. This squiggly mark is the mark of the plate’s design creator, Sven Vestergaard. CONDITION: The plate is in EXCELLENT Condition. There are no chips, cracks or crazing noted. It also has two factory pierced holes in the foot of the plate for hanging. Plate holder not included.
