Easton Press's Signed Modern Classics edition of Orson Scott Card's 1985 Hugo + Nebula winner — the military-academy thought experiment that has stayed in continuous discussion across SF, ethics, and YA reading lists for forty years. Modern Classics is Easton's post-2020 successor to the older Signed Editions program, with the same all-leather, all-edges-gilt build but a more elaborate cover treatment than the older series. Production: Navy leather binding with a gilt scene illustration on the front board — Ender's silhouette above the battle-school constellation — and all-edges gilt with a moiré silk page marker. The gilt panel work on Modern Classics covers is more pictorial than the geometric ornament panels of the 1990s Signed Editions. Signature: Personally signed by Card in green ink on the limitation page. Loose Certificate of Authenticity dated 10 January 2021, countersigned by witness Kristine Card and Easton Press publisher Geoffrey P. O'Neill.
