AMRRON Ham Radio Linux Laptop Kit - 64GB Budget Starter Kit Pre-Installed & Ready to Use! Check my recent reviews. I take pride in delivering clean, tested, and properly set up Linux systems. This listing is for the Budget Starter Kit version of my Linux-powered Chromebook pre-configured with the AMRRON amateur radio software suite. The goal of this kit is simple: an affordable Amateur Radio digital modes software suite, pre-installed and ready to use, so you can jump straight into learning, listening, and operating! This Budget Starter Kit includes the same core pre-installed ham radio software suite as my higher storage kits, but with 64GB storage and the lowest price point in my Ham Radio Linux Laptop Kit lineup. This is ideal for licensed amateur radio operators, SWLs, and anyone interested in digital modes or emergency communications. 👋 Personally Set Up, Cleaned & Tested Each laptop is set up by hand, cleaned, inspected, and tested before shipment. I do not just install software and throw the laptop in a box. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Science & Technology and have sold over 100 laptops on eBay across my laptop kit projects. I genuinely enjoy preparing these systems and knowing customers are using them for real day-to-day tasks, learning, ham radio, and emergency communications practice. These are used laptops, so cosmetic wear should be expected, but I do not ship laptops that I would not personally feel comfortable using myself. 🔧 What’s Included Google Chromebook (Acer Chromebook C731 or similar) Power adapter 64GB SanDisk USB Flash Drive (installed and used as the main system drive) Linux Mint installed and tested AMRRON software suite pre-installed Budget Starter Kit used laptop condition 💡 About Storage & System Setup To improve reliability and prevent “out of storage” issues, this kit is configured as follows: The operating system and all applications run from the included 64GB USB drive The internal 16GB SSD is configured as additional storage for files, logs, recordings, and downloads This design helps protect the system from filling up due to updates or log files and makes the setup more reliable for normal use. The USB drive is low-profile and intended to remain installed during normal operation. 💵 About This Budget Starter Kit This is the lowest price option in my Ham Radio Linux Laptop Kit lineup. The Budget Starter Kit is designed for buyers who want the same core ham radio Linux software experience at the most affordable price. It includes the same pre-installed AMRRON-focused ham radio software suite as my Standard and Premium kits, but with 64GB storage and a more budget-friendly price. Because this is the lowest-priced kit, normal used cosmetic wear should be expected. Cosmetic wear may include scratches, light scuffs, sticker marks, worn plastics, worn rubber feet, worn LCD trim, or similar used laptop wear. Even with normal used wear, each laptop is fully functional, cleaned, inspected, tested prior to shipment, and prepared to be something I would personally feel comfortable using myself. 📡 Pre-Installed Amateur Radio & Communications Software All software listed below is installed and functional. Some tools are launched via the terminal or AMRRON menus rather than desktop icons. Final configuration (audio devices, radio/interface settings, callsign, etc.) is required and varies by user equipment. 🧪 Performance Verified Each laptop is tested prior to shipment, including Wi-Fi, storage, system responsiveness, and major installed software.
