Description
1914 SILVER MEDAL, GERMANY, KAISER WILHELM II. Numerous medals of Kaiser Wilhelm are available for sale on eBay; a German shop has a proof medal listed that is very much like this one and also much nicer; plus, he also knows his stuff, compared to me. I know nothing about these, and vaguely have an idea of how I came about owning it. The medal is silver and the edge is stamped 'silbe 990', it's about 33.5 mm in diameter, about 2mm thick, measured at the fields, and weighs 17.6 grams. Based on that information, it should be worth at least $35 in silver alone. I think the medal was to commemorate a speech he made, but that's just a guess. Thanks!
