HALCYON DAYS ENGLISH ENAMEL BOX - GOLD PARIS SNUFF BOX - CIRCA 1750 - FLOWERS. The blue scalloped border has red and white, pinwheel striped ovals. The design for this box was inspired by an original example made in Paris c.1750. "The box is 1.6"by 2.5" with a height of 1.4". This LARGE , gorgeous, Halcyon Days Enamels box, inspired by an antique, Parisian, snuff box c.1750, has a cluster of flowers, with a multi-colored butterfly, in the center, and a gold herringbone background. The blue scalloped border has red and white, pinwheel striped ovals. Three stalks of flowers, with the same background and border, are on the side. Inside is: "The art of making enamelled gold snuff boxes reached its peak in the mid-18th century. The design for this box was inspired by an original example made in Paris c.1750." The box is 1.6" by 2.5" with a height of 1.4". "Halcyon Days Enamels - England - Bilston & Battersea Enamels Revival" is o n the bottom.
