A colorful beach scene depicting men and women in bathing suits on the Summer sand with a small boat in the foreground surrounded by city buildings in the background. His talent was soon recognized by collectors and he exhibited in both Belgium and in France during his lifetime. He passed away in 1987. Hebbelinck is well listed. I believe this is a limited edition etching (plate marks easily visible) with aquatint, primarily with pastel blues and browns colors. Number 17 from the regular edition of 350. Signed in pencil, lower right. Paper size is approximately 15.75" by 19.50. Image size is approximately 12.50 inches by 16 inches. Printed on heavier and thicker paper. This signed and numbered (s/n) piece was removed from its distressed frame. This unframed artwork is in above-average condition. The white border that was not matted did faintly fade, but the image colors are strong. Minor tape residue on top of reverse is noted.
