Description
IT - Stephen King (Vintage UK Edition, 1987) *Horror Classic*. The UK edition of Stephen King’s IT was originally published by Hodder and Stoughton, Ltd. in 1986, This paperback edition was published by the New English Library in paperback format. At best, this is a reader’s copy. While the cover art is deeply creased, it is whole and still bright and could make for a placeholder display. The actual damage the book has sustained is substantial, but they are all structural: no unseemly stains, odors, or water damage. The worst of it is intense rubbing along the spine edge, where the pages split from the spine at the top and bottom, though it is worse on the top where over an inch of splitting occurs. The opposite edge of the spine, where it connects with the back cover, has some rubbing or splitting, too, but not nearly as much. The creasing to the bottom corner of the front cover and the first 30 pages or so has caused the edges to be rubbed, as well as some small number of loss to the front cover. The pages before the title page are only partially attached, the top length of them being loosened from the binding. Page 19 has come completely unattached from the binding and the book itself, with some evident rubbing on the page edge and some creasing on the spine edge, but the page is still contained inbetween the proper pages. The IT on the spine appears orange rather than the red on the front or back cover.
