2 1959 1960 1961 US Proof Sets Lot 4 Silver Franklin Half Dollar OGP Vintage Box. These uncirculated coins have a fineness of 0.9 and were minted in Philadelphia by the U.S. Mint. Each set includes coins struck in proof quality, making them desirable for collectors of US coins. This set is an extra set of Philadelphia proof sets. The product is a lot of four vintage 2 1959, 1 1960, 1 1961 US proof sets, each containing a silver Franklin half dollar. These uncirculated coins have a fineness of 0.9 and were minted in Philadelphia by the U.S. Mint. They come in their original government packaging, adding to their collectible value. Each set includes coins struck in proof quality, making them desirable for collectors of US coins. These have, as most of the coins I have sold so far, come from my great grandfather, my grand parents to my father and his brother. My grandma was trying to collect for both of them back in the very early 60s. These coins are not my fathers, but my uncles. He had left the family over a family dispute back in late 70s. My grandmother kept them and when she passed she gave them to my father. Well he died in 2015 and we had talked about them for quite some time. He left them all to me leaving me a hobby I can't let go of. Stamps as well. Now I'm into this hobby full time. I love it !!! This set is an extra set of Philadelphia proof sets. As you can see over 60 plus years. Pinholes on four have set, this the black spots. I now have them in a plastic airtight baggie. Upon sale, they will be double bubble wrapped for security. I want someone to enjoy this set as I have. Included is 4 inserts and the one envelope my Grandmother has written on. 90% silver of course outside of the pennies and nickels. All are beautiful.
