Description

1840's Utagawa Hiroshige Japanese Woodblock Triptych Hunting Camp Of Prince Kudo. Two are attached together. They have writing on the backs. You may enjoy viewing more of his Japanese collection as I get them listed. On auction, we have an 1840's triptych of Japanese woodblocks by Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858). This is the hunting encampment of Prince Kudo at the base of Mt. Fuji. On rice paper, these measure 14" X 29". Two are attached together. They have writing on the backs. These are in wonderful antique condition. They are bright, bold and clear. The old rice paper is worn. The edges have holes and are chipped. There are some wrinkles and creases. As I am not an expert on Asian art, please see my photographs for more description. These are from my friend who is moving to a much smaller home and parting with many of his treasures. You may enjoy viewing more of his Japanese collection as I get them listed. I will be happy to answer any questions and, of course, combine your shipping when possible.
