Description

Red Wing Saffron Sponge Bowl- 9 3/4” Compliments of George Sames St. Bonifacius. This is a cool old RW Saffron Sponge-ware bowl from St. Bonifacius, Minn. The goldy/real butter color of these old saffron sponge- ware bowls is pretty amazing. The bowl has a small chip at the outside edge and a pretty rough feel to that edge as well. Indicating it’s been around a while and in use. It also has a hairline at the bottom as well. It’s a great old bowl from the early 1900’s from the old mercantile emporium on Main Street in St Bonifacius, MN. See the advertising in the pictures. This one is available for local pickup only.
