A nearly pristine copy of the magazine Fine Woodworking, the Jan-Feb 1979 issue featuring industry pioneer George Nakashima on the cover. It is 83 pages long, sized 12" x 9" and in Very Good to Like New condition. Nakashima is a legend in the field. He lived quite the life. His Wikipedia entry is worth a read. Just a nugget from it... Nakashima, along with the Danish furniture maker Tage Frid, Swedish James Krenov, and Americans Wharton Esherick and Art Carpenter, are considered to be among the "first generation" of Studio Furniture makers and are cited as highly influential to the field of contemporary woodworking. Magazine is in Very Good, basically Like New condition. There's a very little pin dot stain under the letter "O" in "George" on the cover (see photo). There's very faint aging along the fold on the cover. You have to get really close up to it to see it. The staple binding is tight. Inside pages are pristine: there are no creases, no folds, no dogears, no notations, or underlining, etc. There is no mailing label on the front cover. It feels like it rolled off the presses last month not 47 years ago. The magazine will be heavy protected in it's shipping envelope.
