LARGE WORLD WAR TWO PACIFIC THEATER PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM - 863rd E.A.B. - 640 PHOTOS. This large photograph album contains 640 3 1/2" x 5" photographs taken in the Pacific for the 863rd Engineer Aviation Battalion in the Pacific Theater during WWII. The 863rd E.A.B. played a crucial role building airfields and infrastructure in New Guinea, Leyte and Luzon. 863rd E.A.B. PHOTOLOGUE WORLD WAR TWO This large photograph album contains 640 3 1/2" x 5" photographs taken in the Pacific for the 863rd Engineer Aviation Battalion in the Pacific Theater during WWII . The 863rd E.A.B. played a crucial role building airfields and infrastructure in New Guinea, Leyte and Luzon. The album contains approx. six hundred and forty (4 to a page, 160 pages) photographs documenting the work and daily life of the crewmen.(Note Gary Cooper and other Hollywood stars of the day paying visits.) The album included photographs of clearing and building the airfields but also includes dozens of pictures of Airplanes including several pictures of "nose art". There are numerous pictures of Japanese zero's and other aircraft that were shot down as well as pictures of the Natives, the towns and villages,Japanese fortifications, tanks,ships ,Aerial views and much more!
