VINTAGE 1960-70 FLEISCHMANN 6344 BEGINNERS HO SCALE TRAIN SET IN ORIGINAL PACK. You are looking at a 1960's-early70's beginners train set from Fleishmann, made in Germany. This is set number 6344. There are a few fishplates missing. The cars and tender are in excellent condition, the engine has been serviced and runs fine (see video), the headlight works! It looks complete with engine, tender, two second class passenger cars, transformer, original connecting wire, track clip and Fleischmann track to make a circle. THE GOOD - Everything looks complete except there is no documentation. The cars and tender are in excellent condition, the engine has been serviced and runs fine (see video), the headlight works! THE BAD - The included Fleischmann track is a little rough. There are a few fishplates missing. The video shows the train running on the good pieces after I figured out how the track power clip works!! THE UGLY - Although the engine is a strong runner, it has been obviously had some run time as the cab side shows some minor heat distortion but the motor brushes and wheels look fine. (I have no ides why there is a Swedish flag on the box!!) This is a good chance to own a classic HO set from that era that still looks and runs well at a reasonable starting bid.
