EDWARD ABBEY Conference Poster SIGNED Doug Peacock, Katie Lee, Jack Loeffler. , among many others. I bought several of these in Moab, Utah soon after the conference was held, and I have only two remaining. This is a seldom seen poster for a conference on the work of author / environmental advocate EDWARD ABBEY, held in Moab, Utah in 2008. The conference, titled “A Celebration of Reading and Writing in Moab, Utah: Environmental Writing & Edward Abbey,” honoring the author of DESERT SOLITAIRE, THE MONKEYWRENCH GANG, and HAYDUKE LIVES!, among many others. The gathering featured a host of Abbey’s friends and fellow activists, many of whom are celebrated writers in their own right, including DOUG PEACOCK (the author of “Grizzly Years” and other books, and the basis for Abbey’s character Hayduke in “Monkeywrench Gang”), JACK LOEFFLER (Abbey’s friend and author of “Adventures With Ed”), CRAIG CHILDS (writer, naturalist and author of “The Secret Knowledge of Water”), and Katie Lee (famed folksinger and environmental champion). THIS POSTER IS SIGNED BY PEACOCK, LEE, LOEFFLER, and CHILDS as well as several others. The poster measures 11” X 17”, printed on glossy heavy poster stock, and it features a striking image of a raven in flight. It is in excellent condition, and would frame up beautifully. I bought several of these in Moab, Utah soon after the conference was held, and I have only two remaining. This will be shipped in a tube, fully insured and with tracking.
