WW2 Letter Japanese-American Soldier 1943 Italy Fierce Fighting Honokaa Hawaii. It is dated 1943 Honokaa Hawaii. I also have a brother who is doing his part in Italy. I am concerned over him too but I must consider that millions and millions of others are feeling just as I am. An original World War Two related letter written by the wife of a Japanese-American Soldier named Larry Tanaka. It is dated 1943 Honokaa Hawaii. In one area it looks like she says,.....I did not hear from Larry for quite a while....................fierce action out in the Pacific..........I do hope their lives will be spared just as much as I pray for Larry's safe home coming. I also have a brother who is doing his part in Italy. He wrote to me a few days ago stating that it was off time for him and he is resting in a fox-hole. I am concerned over him too but I must consider that millions and millions of others are feeling just as I am............ The cover has the send to address of St. Paul Minnesota. The letter has wear in areas. There is a part cut out by a censor and I think one or more pages are missing, I think they could have been taken out by the censor.
