There is a small tear near the top (see pics); other than that, it's in very good condition. It is not faded at all; the Made in Germany letters are dark and readable. There is a small tear near the top (see pics); other than that, it's in very good condition. It is not faded at all; the Made in Germany letters are dark and readable. This hat is cute as can be! My camera did not capture the true color of this hat; it's actually a darker sort of rusty orange and very solid color. It is 11-1/2" from the peak to the outside bottom, and 11-1/2" across the widest part of the bottom of the hat.
