Vintage Ridgways Canadian Bicentennial Collectible Plate | Dessert Size. The plates feature hand-applied colors on a dark green transfer-printed image, set against a white background with a scalloped rim. This collectible vintage plate was created to mark the Canadian bicentennial in 1967. Part of Ridgways' 'Heritage' pattern, the designs are adapted from sketches and watercolors by the English artist William Henry Bartlett, specifically from his 1842 publication "Canadian Scenery Illustrated". The plates feature hand-applied colors on a dark green transfer-printed image, set against a white background with a scalloped rim. The border is adorned with a vine pattern incorporating maple leaves, berries, and wheat.
