The 12 trapezoid style natural rubies are about 4mm long and 2.4mm wide. 15 of the diamonds are VS1 and the other 5 are VS2 for a total diamond weight in this ring of. 97 carats.". Reading from the 1988 appraisal: "This ring features an outer row of 20 full cut round diamonds followed by an inner tier of natural red rubies that are faceted in a trapezoid style. The center of the ring has a bezel set modern round brilliant full cut diamond that's VVS2 in clarity and H in color. It has a diameter of 3.70mm and a depth of 1.98mm which by calculation weighs approximately 0.17 carat. The 12 trapezoid style natural rubies are about 4mm long and 2.4mm wide. The outer perimeter has 20 full cut diamonds that are 2.15mm in diameter and about .04 carat each. 15 of the diamonds are VS1 and the other 5 are VS2 for a total diamond weight in this ring of .97 carats."
