Hardcover with dust jacket in a protective mylar sleeve. Copyright 1946, brown multi‑scene endpapers, tan tweed binding, 25 chapters, and 212 pages. The book is in very good condition. The dust jacket shows wear along the edges, including scuffing and creases. The bottom edge of the dust jacket spine is chipped, missing a 1.5" × 0.25" strip, and the top corners of the spine are worn away. The back cover of the dust jacket has a 0.7" tear with a fold. There are rub spots on the front jacket illustration (most noticeable on Joe’s blue jacket), and faint erased pencil marks on the inside of the jacket. The front endpaper has an ink name, and there is some bleed from the top‑sprayed edge onto the endpapers. The tan tweed covers has small white paint marks on the front and back. Please see photos for details. A very good example of this edition with a good‑condition dust jacket.
