The book is in good condition. The cover shows wear along the bottom edge and corners. The top, bottom, and back spine edges display wear and scuffing. The back cover has surface wear and a 1" split in the cover paper at the top hinge. The first endpaper has two areas where a sticker was removed, tearing away portions of the endpaper; the same area contains some ink handwriting. Interior pages are clean and intact, except for a margin stain affecting pages 177–184 (heaviest on page 184, fading to minimal by page 177). Please see photos for details. A solid good example of this early picture‑cover printing.
