A great fantasy classic. 2) The Mettle of the Pasture, a novel of Kentucky by James Lane Allen. Published by The Macmillan Co., New York, also 1903. Bound in red cloth, 8x5 inches, 448 pages. Very good condition. 3) Via Crucis, by F. Marion Crawford, 1904 second edition from Grosset & Dunlap, New York, illustrated with 8 full page prints by Louis Loeb, and in the same format as the first edition. Bound in green cloth, 8x5 inches, 396 pages.
