Description
Antique German Prisoner’s Book 1883 General Hymnal For Church And Home Genealogy. Antique book, 4 3/8” x 6 3/4”, 1 1/8” thick, 675 pages, then another 92 pages. Shows a split in the binding as seen, wear to the covers, but the book is tight. The end of the binding reads, in German, using Google translate, "Prisoner's Book", not sure if that is a religious reference, or it was for the imprisoned. The front few pages have many names and dates, born and died, handwritten. One name I see repeated as Carstensen. Show some foxing, but overall the pages are nice and clean, solid paper. It has a few leaves or flowers stuck in the pages. Please see photos and check my other sales. I combined shipping. Antique book, 4 3/8” x 6 3/4”, 1 1/8” thick, 675 pages, then another 92 pages.
