This Susan B Anthony Reproduction Gavel was manufactured by Stieff from the Smithsonian Collection in the 1970s in Maryland. The gavel is crafted in rosewood, sterling silver, and a faux ivory. It is in the original box that does show some wear from being stored. The head is engraved Order is Heaven’s First Law and the other end Nat’l Woman Suffrage Asso March 25 1888. The larger sterling band is impressed Smithsonian Institution in a seal of buildings while the opposite side is Stieff Sterling. All pictured. The original gavel was presented to Susan B Anthony by delegates from 49 countries invited to attend a meeting of the National Woman Suffrage Association.
