Vintage Adirondack Inn Mailer Photos Maps and Incredible Railroad Info. In addition it contains old photos of people in the park and bathing at Sacandaga Lake. Also includes travel costs! Up for auction is this really cool old what I believe to be a marketing mailer from The Adirondack Inn in Sacandaga Park, NY in the Lower Adirondacks. I believe it's from 1928 - 1948 because that is when bulk mailers could be sent for just 1c postage. It was never posted. This mailer contains photos of the Adirondack Inn including the floor plan layout! In addition it contains old photos of people in the park and bathing at Sacandaga Lake. It also mentions how to get there from The West via the New York Central & Hudson River Railroad via Fonda, NY, from the East Via Boston & Albany Railroad or Boston & Maine Railroad to Albany, NY Central& Hudson River Railroad to Fonda and then via Fonda, Johnstown and Gloversville Railroad. It also mentions travel by People's Evening Line Steamer or Hudson River Day Line Steamer. Also includes travel costs! The day rate at Adirondack Inn was $3.00 and up. There's also a bit on the Palmetto House in Daytona, Florida, but I don't quite know why that information is included. Anyway, this little advertisement is chock full of interesting history.Free shipping via US mail in regular envelope.
