Antique Wedgwood Meat Drainer Adams Blue Creamware c 1883 13" x 10". The drainer is a flat, oval ceramic insert with a series of small perforated holes and a central larger hole to allow fluids to pass through to the platter below. Meat drainers are highly sought after by collectors of blue and white transferware because they were often separated from their matching platters and broken over time.
