The EVH Wolfgang Special is on fire — pick one up and unleash your creativity while channeling the spirit of a true rock icon. A design built to perform To deliver his virtuosic performances on arena stages the world over, Eddie Van Halen demanded a lot from his instruments. This expectation for high quality is built directly into the Wolfgang Special, which is crafted with resonant tonewoods and additional reinforcement for superior playability and rock-solid durability. The Wolfgang Special’s comfortable, lightweight basswood body delivers a well-balanced tone and added midrange heft. If you’re in the market for incredible resonance and sustain, the Wolfgang Special’s quartersawn baked maple neck more than delivers, with graphite reinforcement adding additional stability. With its smooth feel and player-friendly comfort, the ebony fingerboard is primed for a sonic eruption across all 22 jumbo frets. Scorching-hot EVH Wolfgang pickups The EVH Wolfgang Special comes equipped with direct-mount Wolfgang humbuckers. These gain-loving pickups offer a first-class ticket to Edward Van Halen's elusive tone. Plug this solidbody electric guitar into your high-gain amplifier of choice, and you'll be bowled over with singing highs, snarling mids, and fat lows with all the amp-punishing output you can handle. Volume swells are smoother than ever with the 500K EVH Bourns low-friction pot featuring a treble-bleed circuit to maintain shimmering highs at low settings, while a 250K Bourns high-friction pot on the tone knob prevents unwanted tone shifts. Rock-solid EVH-branded Floyd Rose Special tremolo No self-respecting EVH disciple can resist King Edward's trademark squeals and dive-bombs. Accordingly, the Wolfgang Special is set to stun with an EVH-branded Floyd Rose Special double-locking tremolo. Whether you give it a slight nudge for a subtle vibrato or abuse it for full-blown pitch pyrotechnics, you'll experience the same response and tuning stability that you'd expect from a Floyd Rose. On top of that, you can easily switch to Drop D tuning, courtesy of the WG Special's D-Tuna. We've subjected the WG Special to a fair share of aggressive treatment here at Sweetwater, and it hit the ground runnin' — it's rock solid all the way.
