Ebay will be requiring us to note condition of coins starting in early June. Unfortunately, most of us (even those of us who have been collectors for decades) are NOT qualified coin graders and any designations are still based on opinion. Even the different grading services do not always agree. Noting of "graded coins" essentially does not change since these are determined by the qualified graders who graded these coins and noted on the coin holders. For "ungraded coins", Ebay will be requiring that we use the following (at this time): → Uncirculated → Extremely Fine to About Uncirculated → Fine to Very Fine → Below Fine While Ebay suggests this will make listings easier to compare & discover, it will in fact cause additional confusion since opinions will of course differ. I use the Whitman Red Book to determine the grade designation of my coins for US coins. For foreign coins, I use online resources.
