This knife for auction is a 2005 issue Case 1st Run XX Cheetah Cub, 3 1/2" closed, featuring Case's Bone Stag (cattle bone) handles and the nickel silver Case XX script style shield. This Case 1st Run XX Jade Cheetah Cub was issued in a quantity of 250 pieces in 2005. The rear side of the Clip blade is factory engraved with the official Case Long Tail C and 1st Run XX, the designation for the Case pre-production 1st Run XX variation. Please see the 1st photo for a good shadowed view of the 1st Run XX engraving. This Case 1st Run XX Cheetah Cub is stamped on the front tang of the Clip blade with Case XX and 5 X's, dating this as a 2005 issue Case knife, while the rear tang is pattern stamped with USA 6.511 1/2L SS.
