Large lot of approximately 25 vintage scuba diving magazines and diving publications, primarily Skin Diver magazines from the 1970s. Includes several specialty diving catalogs and publications from the golden age of recreational scuba diving. Highlights include: * Multiple Skin Diver magazines featuring Jacques Cousteau and Philippe Cousteau * April 1966 issue included * Vintage scuba equipment advertisements, including Rolex dive watch ads * Scubapro professional diving equipment catalogs * Diving, underwater photography, treasure hunting, marine life, and exploration articles * Great reference material for scuba collectors, historians, and vintage advertising enthusiasts Condition varies significantly: * Some issues are in very good vintage condition with normal wear. * a couple magazines show water damage, staining, mildew spotting, edge wear, tears, and cover damage. * One Scubapro catalog has heavy cover deterioration. * Sold as a collection and priced accordingly. Excellent display pieces for a dive shop, man cave, nautical décor, scuba museum collection, or vintage advertising archive. For context, my father was a cave diver in the 60s and 70s. His dive partner, amongst many others, was sheck exley. I have a lot of historical dive memorabilia but I just don’t need to be collecting magazines and junking up the house. Thanks for looking.
