A cushion-acting POA (polyoxyalkylene) surfactant forms a microscopic buffer between the ball and paper, cutting writing friction by roughly 40% compared to Mitsubishi's previous water-based pens. A separate anti-bleed particle system keeps lines crisp even on light or absorbent paper — the result is a glide that feels closer to a fountain pen than a ballpoint, without the maintenance. ✨ Champagne Gold — Signature Flagship Finish Aluminum Cap · Brass Tip Section · Magnetic Closure The Signature Model is ZENTO's flagship — a cap-type body with a painted aluminum cap and brass tip section that give it genuine heft (22.9g bare, 41.1g packaged). The cap closes with a quiet magnetic click — described by Mitsubishi as "a single breath before the act of writing." Seat the cap on the back of the barrel and the pen balances perfectly for long sessions. Champagne Gold is the newest finish in the Signature lineup, released December 2025 alongside the debut 0.7mm ball. ※ This is the Japan domestic-release (JDM) Signature Model in Champagne Gold with a 0.7mm ball — sold as product code UBZH07.25 (also written 30-UBZH07.25). The 0.7mm width debuted in Japan on 23 December 2025; prior to this, Signature was offered only in 0.38mm (Silver) and 0.5mm (Metallic Black) in Japan. Supply is often limited at launch. ● Who It's For 📓 Journaling & Diary 0.7mm glide for long-form writing and reflection 💼 Executive & Business Signatures, meeting notes, a pen worth carrying 🎁 Gift & Collector Boxed presentation, retirement or milestone gift ✍️ Stationery Enthusiasts Fountain pen users seeking a low-maintenance daily driver ● Key Features New ZENTO Ink (Water-Based Rollerball) A newly formulated water-based ink combining a POA surfactant "cushion" with anti-bleed particles. Friction is reduced by approximately 40% against Mitsubishi's previous water-based rollerballs, while line definition stays sharp. Ink colour: black. 0.7mm Ball — The Smoothest ZENTO The new 0.7mm tip is the broadest and smoothest in the ZENTO line. Bolder stroke for stronger handwriting and journaling; ideal for writers who prefer a confident line over a fine technical line. Debuted 23 December 2025 in Japan. Magnetic Cap — Tactile Click The aluminum cap is retained by a magnet, not a friction fit — a deliberate pull releases it with a distinct click. No wobble when posted on the back; no grinding the coating over time. The closing action is as much part of the product as the ink. Metal & Brass Construction Aluminum painted cap, painted brass front section, painted ABS rear section. Total pen weight 22.9g — heavier than a typical rollerball, engineered to rest in the hand without cramp during long writing sessions. Refillable — UBR-Z Compatible Uses Mitsubishi's UBR-Z series ZENTO-ink refill, so the pen body is a long-term investment rather than a disposable item. Replacement refills are stocked widely in Japan and are easily sourced online internationally. Champagne Gold Boxed Package Ships in Mitsubishi's Signature Model presentation box (125.5 × 36 × 36mm) — gift-ready out of the shipping carton. Champagne Gold pairs a warm metallic body with the black-base cap, differentiating it cleanly from the Silver (0.38mm) and Metallic Black (0.5mm) sister finishes. ● Specifications Item Detail Brand Mitsubishi Pencil (三菱鉛筆) — Japan Series uniball ZENTO — Signature Model Product Code UBZH07.25 (also 30-UBZH07.25) Color / Finish Champagne Gold Ink Type ZENTO water-based rollerball ink (newly developed) Ink Color Black Ball Diameter 0.7 mm Mechanism Capped type with magnetic cap closure Materials Cap: aluminum + paint / Front: brass + ABS + paint / Rear: ABS + paint Barrel Dimensions Ø 13.2 × 17.2 × 122.6 mm Package Dimensions 125.5 × 36.0 × 36.1 mm (boxed) Weight 22.9 g (pen only) / 41.1 g (boxed) Refill Mitsubishi UBR-Z series (ZENTO ink refill, sold separately) Release Date 23 December 2025 (Japan domestic release) Condition Brand-new, factory-sealed in original boxed packaging Country of Origin / Sold In Sold in Japan (Japan domestic SKU) ● What's in the Box uniball ZENTO Signature Model pen × 1 (Champagne Gold, 0.7mm, black ink) Original Mitsubishi Pencil presentation box Japanese instruction insert ※ Brand-new and factory-sealed exactly as sold in Japan.
