Description
Vintage Stanley No. 2 bench plane Type 16 (circa 1933–1941). Features correct Sweetheart era Stanley iron marked “SW Made in USA,” brass depth adjustment knob, and horizontal STANLEY lateral adjuster. Retains original rosewood tote and front knob. Body is clearly cast “No 2” at the toe. Frog shows “U” casting mark. Correct keyhole lever cap with raised STANLEY logo. Clean example of a highly desirable small Stanley plane. Condition: Good vintage condition with normal age and use wear. Japanning largely intact with some wear. Iron shows light patina but is usable. All major components present and functional. Small crack present in the rear handle (tote). See photos for complete details.
Seller combined shipping on this and another order. I made an offer on a bundle and my offer was accepted. Great value on two pieces for restoration. I'm sure they're described accurately and packing will be adequate.
